Longevity & Functional Medicine
General Medical Services
We assess the general state of health through medical checks, different diagnostic tests and technologically-advanced treatments.
Consultations
General Medicine Consultation
Complete assessment of the state of health, with special emphasis on the aspects that can benefit from our treatments and services. This is complemented by a physical examination.

Diagnostic Tests
Thyroid Ultrasound
This non-invasive technology allows for detailed and localised diagnosis without the use of radiation. SHA’s open MRI equipment reduces the feeling of claustrophobia and anxiety.
Neck Doppler Ultrasound (carotid arteries)
This test measures the amount of cholesterol in the wall of the neck (carotid) arteries leading from the heart to the brain, as well as the presence of possible thrombi.
Bone Echo-densitometry
We assess bone mineral density. This study indicates the presence of osteopenia or osteoporosis, and quantifies the risk of fracture. It is indicated for women immediately before, during and after menopause, when the risk of osteoporosis is highest.
Aminoessentials
Helps to repair tissues (skin and hair), muscles and bones. Reduces the negative impact of metabolic diseases, contributing to well-being and vitality.
Alkaline
Inhibits inflammation and pain, as well as the reduction of oxidation and the harmonization of the vegetative nervous system.
Weight control
Regulates metabolism to contribute to an ideal weight, improves insulin sensitivity and enhances fat catabolism.
Electrocardiogram
The electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) graphically shows the electrical activity of the heart. It provides useful information for doctors when interpreting chest pain or discomfort.
Advanced preventive diagnosis
Using the latest advances in diagnostic technology, a series of tests are performed to obtain detailed clinical data on the patient’s state of health. The following values are measured:
• Segmental bodycomposition
• Basal metabolism
• Visceral fat
• Postural health and bodyperimeters
• Cardiovascular health and artery status
• Stress level and resilience
• Central nervoussystem, sympathetic and parasympatheticfunction
• Vascular age
• Pulse, bloodpressure, oxygensaturation, amongothers
Liver Ultrasound
Evaluation of the liver, gall bladder and pancreas. Especially indicated in cases of alcoholic abuse, hepatotoxic drug use and personal or family history of liver disease.
Lower Limb Arterial Doppler Ultrasound
We carry out an assessment of the arteries of the lower limbs. We analyse the presence of possible thrombi, the consequent loss of blood flow and the associated symptoms in the legs and feet: coldness, changes in colour, pain and difficulty walking.
Spirometry
Assessment of lung function. It is particularly suitable for measuring the degree of damage in smokers.
Carotid Ultrasound
Ultrasound study that measures the thickness of the atheroma plaque deposited in the carotid arteries. It is a risk marker for the degree of severity of atherosclerotic disease and is essential in assessing cardiovascular risk.
Holter Blood Pressure Monitor
This system records, on a scheduled and frequent basis, heart rhythms for 24-48 hours. The result is a blood pressure map with which a specialist will assess the state of your heart health.
Full-body densitometry
Treatment focused on the non-invasive diagnosis and monitoring of osteoporosis and osteopenia, as well as the detection of micro-fractures and their risk.
Other Laboratory Tests
We have a wide range of clinical laboratory tests to predict and diagnose various pathologies or to monitor regular health indicators.
Treatments
Lung Detox Nebulisation
Treatment indicated for smokers with chronic bronchitis, emphysema or other respiratory tract pathologies. Bronchial nebulisation with N-acetylcysteine, oxygen and ipratropium is used.
Virile Rejuvenation with Shock Waves
Treatment that improves poor erectile function performance. Low intensity radial waves are applied to directly penetrate the surface to be treated (up to 40 mm). Repetitive microtrauma is caused, which improves circulation and generates blood vessels that did not previously exist.
Bioptron
A procedure to block the pineal gland using polarised light. It accelerates the healing of lesions, relieves pain, strengthens the immune system and reduces the effects of Seasonal Affective Disorder.
Intravenous Iron Therapy
Procedure consisting of the parenteral application of iron, cyanocobalamin and folic acid in patients with anaemia caused by a lack of iron, vitamins or poor diet.
